We have found our first NAT. Woman

The NAT. Woman search is finally over. In April we asked you if there was someone out there who epitomises the NAT. brand, and what would this person be like. Your response was overwhelming and you have helped us define what your idea of this person should be. After weeks of going through the entries, the selection committee decided that there isn’t ONE but in fact a few who “fit the bill”. Our NAT. brand is many things to many people. It is very much alive with a personality of its own and with many facets to its brand promise. Now the intangibles are made real through a series of personalities we will be introducing to you.
So, without further ado and with much pleasure we would like to introduce to you our first NAT. Woman, Janine Hall who owns a luxury surf and yoga spa retreat in Bali
Janine Hall is first and foremost a NAT. fan, friend, supporter and a great believer in what we do at NAT. Unassuming but talented, Janine is natural, grounded and self effacing. On our first encounter, we asked Janine what drives her. She replied:
“My personal philosophy and what drives and motivates me is that you get out of life what you put in. You can't put in 20% and expect an extraordinary life. I believe in shooting high, anything is possible and at the end of the day you are the only one that stands in your way of achieving your dreams - dream big and follow your heart - don't let fear stand in your way or live a life dictated by dogma. Trust in your instinct and that it will lead you in the right direction.”

It’s Official…Online Beauty Service Trend is on the rise and making a difference to time poor women.

Is it just today’s buzz words or are online beauty service or virtual beauty salons taking over bricks and mortar and shopfronts? The recent issue of the Australian Aesthetic Journal features a story on the rapid rise of purchase of beauty products online with special mention of Darren Clark, founder of The Facial Company and our CEO Claire Mitchell leading the trend. If you missed this issue, you can find the article on the NAT. website:

In our earlier news article we also featured and recognised the trend and the need to extend and optimise the beauty service, in Queensland, salons like Beauty on Burgundy

offer the classic beauty treatment menu with a twist. Their navigable and user friendly website allows visitors to book appointments and purchase products online. For more information on this story, see website:

Natural Essentials & Trivia.

Did you know that:

• Sea salt is a very popular and old ingredient used in many beauty products? Rich in minerals and magnesium, the high mineral content in sea salt allows cation exchange to detoxify the skin. This help revitalise, exfoliate and purify the skin and draw excess oils and debris from the skin leaving a “clean fresh feeling”

• The NAT.BODY sea salt smoother is rich in minerals and magnesium, marine salt crystals, soya oil, peppermint and sweet fennel essential oils giving benefits such as:

  • Soothes and calms the muscles
  • Helps increase blood flow thereby increasing oxygen to cells and tissues

• Shea butter has been used in Africa for many centuries as a skin moisturiser and sun protection? It is produced from an edible nut of a fruit from The Shea Tree or The Karite. The Tree grows in the western region of Africa - Ghana, Mali, Burkina Faso and other Savanna Regions of West Africa.

• The NAT.BODY –body butter contains 31% oil extracted from cocoa butter, shea butter, macadamia nut oil plus a rich gum from a North African tree. One of our star sellers, the NAT.BODY – body butter rich in shea butter is a wonderful healing agent ( the accelerating cicatrisation of wounds and burns) and has ideal cell renewal properties.

Winter Beauty and Wellness survival tips:

To most of us winter means, short days- long nights, drops in temperature, trips to the snow, colds and flu and worse, dry, flaky skin. There’s nothing we can do about the temperature and the short days but bad skin and the sniffles don’t have to be so. Knowing a little about how skin functions in the winter, and tweaking a few habits, can make all the difference between a dull winter complexion and glowing radiance. Taking care of oneself will also help ward off the nasty bugs that flourish during the cold weather. Here are a few tips compiled by the team from NAT. and courtesy of various beauty and health bloggers.
• Start the day with a hot shower... but before you get out switch to cold water for about fifteen seconds. Then turn up the heat a little, and down again to repeat the process for about two minutes. This is a simple hydrotherapy technique which revitalizes the skin by stimulating the flow of blood through the body. It is both invigorating and highly beneficial to the skin. So even though you may not really enjoy the process, just think of the all the good it’s doing you!
• Use a good moisturiser ( natural is best). Choose a highly protective day cream which contains zinc oxide, and provides SPF30 protection to form a barrier against the elements. Creamier, water-in-oil emulsions are best.
